DPD Bone Marker

The DPD Bone Marker Test is  a urine test that assesses bone breakdown.

Pyridinoline is a collegen degradation product derived from several tissues in addition to bone. Deoxypyridinoline is almost exclusively specific to bone tissue. The test is called Pyrilinks-K ( Dpd) and is featured in The Bone-Building Solution by Sam Graci , Leticia Rao and , Carolyn DeMarco ( leading physicians in Women’s health in Canada) book. The other test that will compliment this is the Female Hormonal Panel as bone density can be related to hormones.
